So I up and left my purse in the office, sitting here in class and thinking, ‘well since I can’t chat on my phone might as well update the blog.’ (I should be paying attention but since it doesn’t seem to improve my grades one way or another….)

This has been an interesting quarter, to say the least.   Work is going well.  I love my new team and the district I am responsible for.  What I’m learning is how to really develop those leadership skills.  I might end up writing a book about it.  I’ll title it “All leadership books are crap, except this one.” ;-)

SIFF starts this weekend.  Already bought a few tickets, but still making last minute choices. Seeing the Fall tomorrow with Mr. H.  While C and I are sneaking out Saturday morning for some girl time fun at Mermaid. As soon as my complete list is formed I’ll post who, what, where, and maybe even a why or two.

Speaking of who’s I’m tipping my pinkie toe into a new who. (OK seriously, I need a better segway.)  We went up to the mountains last weekend and I must admit was a great time, at least for me.

Natasja - Calabria

Raj talked me out of the house last night.  After a short stint at the spa, I picked him up and we went down to a lovely little coffee shop on the Kirkland waterfront.  He caught me up on his life, work, travel, family, and the trials of getting older and crankier.  And somehow, I talked him into buying me Doom and Doom2 for Christmas.

Was a nice coffee break.  Plus, as always, when we hugged I got a small chill over how good he smelled. I love house sitting for Raj.  I sneak up to the master bathroom, find his cologne and just sniff.  Or crawl under his sheets, lay my head on that horrible-flat pillow, curl up and sigh in contentment.  Men should always smell that good.

The bad, I got my second tests back from all three classes and I did awful.  I don’t mean bad, I mean, less then 50%/failing class bad.  I’m frustrated and mad.  I want to throw my hands up and say, “whats the point of studying if I’m going to fail? I might as well put my time to better use,  like updating blogs, fixing things around the house, chasing the cat… OH, I know… seeing friends I haven’t visited in months because every blasted waking spare minute I have is spent reading text books, doing math, or studying for tests.”

I feel as though I’ve reverted back to childhood issues, grade school through high school.  Study for hours and hours, get a D.  Even more so, is that I know what I’m studying.  Ask me about the environmental uncertain model,  game theory, or anything about f’n Nietzsche.  I know this sh*t why can’t I pass these tests?  I’m so frustrated and sad.

And frankly I think depressed over the whole thing.

The Good:  Well I think I will like new job.  I’m only a few days into it but thus far I’m enjoying the change. (And the gloriousness of getting up at 5:40am instead of 4am!)

The Turkey: I have 3 papers on three different topics to write in the next 4 days.  5 Page, 15 Page, and 3 Page. :(

Happy Thanksgiving.

I was offered a new position/promotion with company - Woohoo!  I’m so excited to do something new and thanks to mum, no longer as scared over failing. She said, “They wouldn’t had promoted you if they didn’t think you could do the job.”  I have best mum in the world.

(Oh yeah, and was given a huge pay raise too.) *grin*

3-4 weeks left for this quarter at school, my brain is ready for a break on Econ. Registered for next quarter.  Introduction to Marketing Management  and Information Management and Analysis.
